Corona Del Mar, or CdM as its known locally, is an affluent neighborhood in Newport Beach. Corona Del Mar generally consists of all land on the seaward face of the San Joaquin Hills, south of Avocado Avenue to the city limits, as well as the developments of Irvine Terrace, just north of Avocado.

The Corona Del Mar beaches are Big Corona, which is Corona Del Mar State Beach and Little Corona, located just south of Big Corona. In the summer, the Corona Del Mar Chamber of Commerce hosts a scenic 5K. Another popular tradition in Corona Del Mar is the Annual Sandcastle Contest, which is held in the fall season.
